Who we are
We are Max and Pia, and we bought Quinta Serra de São Mamede at the beginning of 2026.
Our dream is to create a therapeutic donkey farm – in Portugal!
At the moment, alongside taking over the farm, we are also busy with our little baby. That’s why changes on the property will happen slowly and gradually.
In the meantime, our main goal is to be great hosts and offer you a beautiful holiday home – whether for hiking, family holidays, nature retreats, birdwatching, cultural trips, group stays, romantic getaways, or simply relaxing by the pool.

What's happening on the farm
We work every day in the apartments and around the farm to keep everything beautiful and well maintained, always aiming to bring design and nature into harmony.
Our biggest supporters are our neighbours – truly the best neighbours in the world!
Later this year, we plan to welcome sheep to help maintain our 10 hectares of land. Gradually, donkeys will also join us. In the future, we plan to offer therapeutic activities, relaxation experiences, and other activities centered around our animals.
If you enjoy staying active while relaxing and would like to lend a hand during your holiday, you are very welcome to pick a small task and borrow the tools you need from us
